Ms Darlene Taylor
Director and
Lead Teacher 4 Year Olds
Ms Darlene serves as the director and lead teacher in our 4 year old program. She has been with Little Pirates for 4 years, having previously served as the lead teacher in our three-year-old classroom.
She believes getting to know each child and their family is essential in helping a child be successful in the classroom. “Each child comes to us with their own unique personality and little quirks. It’s always a delight to see them emerge and grow.”
With over 40 years of experience in the childcare field, she brings a deep understanding of child development, a calm and nurturing presence, and a strong commitment to quality early childhood education. Her dedication and knowledge continue to guide our program and support both our staff and our families.
She and her husband are Hudson High graduates. Darlene enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, crocheting, and relaxing at home. She and her husband have 5 adult children and 12 grandchildren.
Ms. Journey Even
Teacher Assistant and
Lead Teacher 3 Year Olds
We are thrilled to welcome Ms Journey Even as the newest member of the Little Pirates Preschool team. Outside the classroom she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the gym, and baking.
Journey has a bubbly personality and a genuine love for encouraging the growth and development of each child. Having spent her first two years of post-graduate studies in early childhood education, she is passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn.
